Anxious about health care

Depression or anxiety problems can happen to anyone. In our present day society that focuses on work and money and keeping up with others, many people deal with feelings of stress and worry. If there is no chance for relaxation and these feelings are not dealt with anxiety problems may arise. Varying from a fear to be out in public to feeling unmotivated and not being able to even get up out of bed every day, there are many kinds and types of depression.

People who happen to suffer from any of these mental health problems can have difficulties when it comes to getting their health insurance to pay up for any treatment. Not all health insurance companies include the treatment of these health problems in their policies. Mental health advocates are now campaigning to change this situation. Members of congress have been trying to make sure that some kind of legislation concerning equal health coverage for both mental problems and physical illnesses will be passed.

Over at least 54 million Americans are currently suffering from some kind of mental illness. This is just the number of people who are dealing with these problems per year. Mental problems and illnesses can include conditions such as anxiety, depression, and any type of addiction. Those supporting this bill say that many people suffering simply do not receive the treatment that they need so badly because their health insurance does not cover it.

The democrats want to pass this bill as soon as possible to avoid people with mental issues to lose out on the necessary care. Mental health issues have a way of getting worse if they go untreated. It is imperative that people get the care they need as quickly as possible. The new bill should make sure that any health insurance covers treatment.
