Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) refers to an anxiety disorder caused by constant worrying and tension or because of severe anxiety which is more than the normal anxiety experienced by others. People with GAD always expect the worst out of every situation.
They experience excessive worrying and tension for every possible thing such as money, family, health, work etc .But the most appalling fact is there will be nothing to worry about. Others will not see any signs of trouble in their lives. They will often be restless and suffer form insomnia.
The physical symptoms of GAD includes fatigue, concentration problem, muscle tension, trembling, headaches, hot flashes, irritability etc People with GAD do not avoid situations because of anxiety. Only at extreme cases, they will experience interference with work, daily routines and several social situations. Anxiety is a normal condition but chronic worry is not a normal condition. Everyday some kind of anxiety is experienced by all. But people with this disorder experience continuous anxiety for no reason.
